Our Vision: To build teenagers to be:KGBC Student Logo

  • Followers of Jesus Christ (Luke 9:23)
  • Leaders of their generation (Matthew 4:19)
  • Changers of this world (Acts 1:8)

Why We Exist:

  • We exist to help students connect in their relationship with Christ, with the church, and with each other.
  • We do this through Sunday School, Wednesday night Bible study, Mission projects, retreats, camps, and fun events!

Sunday Mornings: 9:45 a.m. – Bible study in the Attic & the Loft. There is a lot of excitement in the student department, don’t get left behind!

Wednesday Nights: During the school year, we meet in the Attic each week , 6:15 – 7:30 pm. Send an e-mail to Beth for details and get on her e-mail newsletter list. During the summer, check the student calendar for times and location of the student get-togethers.

Students’ Fall 2017 Retreat: Download the needed forms for information (November 3-5, 2017).

wendys Wendy’s Wednesdays

Wendy’s Wednesdays were such a hit last year that we’re doing it again! One Wednesday night a month, we will be going to Wendy’s at the corner of Virginia Beach Blvd. and Little Neck Rd. for some extra fellowship time after Bible study.

Here are some requirements in order to participate: Students will need to secure a ride TO Wendy’s AND HOME from Wendy’s.  Students may drive themselves if they have a driver’s license.

Students can ONLY drive other students if I have consent from BOTH sets of parents. (A written note on the night of Wendy’s Wednesday will be fine, or a text or e-mail sometime that week.) This is a VERY important rule!

Students will need to bring their own money. We don’t want to use Wendy’s as just a hangout and not purchase any food, so please have your student plan to purchase something if they come. (A small frosty, a drink or a full dinner.)

Parents are welcome to come along and enjoy some fellowship with other parents and families as well so you don’t have to come back for pick up.

Ryan and I are excited to have some extra hang out time with our students to get to know them better and know what’s going on in their lives. We hope to use this time to better minister to them. We know that families have a lot going on, so we understand if your student has a lot of homework and can’t make it each time. Join us when you can!

BojanglesHang Out with the Garrisons!

*This is what we’re calling it to entice you to come since we know you love the Garrisons. (A more solid name to follow).*

Let’s catch up with each other once a month and talk about life, faith, and more.

The Hang Out is each first Saturday of the month at the Hilltop Bojangles at 10:00 a.m.

Those wanting a ride need to meet at the church at 9:45 or you can just meet us at Bojangles at 10:00 a.m. The Garrisons will buy sausage biscuits and drinks. If you want something else, bring money. Depending on the number of students, the Garrisons MAY be willing to drive home those from the neighborhood.

If you’re interested in coming, please let Beth know by email. We need to let the management know about our group for the first couple of get-togethers. A number would be helpful.
