Children’s Ministry

childrens-ministry

Our mission in Children’s Ministry is to provide an environment of love and acceptance where the Bible is taught and a spiritual foundation is laid that will lead a student, in God’s timing, into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In addition, we strive to provide numerous opportunities for our students to grow and develop in their Christian faith.

What can you find at KGBC for kids? Our Children’s Ministry offers…

Sunday School Information: We provide classes for all children at 9:45 am.

Elementary Children (Grades 1-4): There is a Bible Study class for each grade 1-4. Our curriculum offers quality teaching and activities that are age appropriate and biblically based. Children learn through games and activities along with small group interactions. We are committed to giving kids a sequential view of the Bible so they can better understand how the people and events all fit together to tell God’s story. All children’s classes can be found on the second floor of our Education Building.

Pre-Teen Ministry (Grades 5-6): Our pre-teen ministry is currently focusing on fifth and sixth graders. The older children have special needs that are different from the rest of the children’s department and even different from middle school students. While this group will be under the children’s ministry, there will be special activities for just pre-teens, led by leaders with a heart for this age group.

Children and Worship:

Grades 1-6: We are helping parents to be the spiritual leaders of their family by encouraging parents to model worship to their kids (please read more about how to do this here). It is important that families worship as together through singing, praying, and giving.

As you enter the sanctuary or the Well, we provide a children’s bulletin with activities that engage kids while parents focus on the sermon. These bulletins are at the entrance door, or ask an usher to give you one.
